About the event

Join the Life Sciences Workforce Collaborative, NIIMBL, and TEConomy for an informational webinar on participating in the 2027 Life Sciences Workforce Trends Report.

The session will look at the national value of the report and how state and regional organizations have used previous editions and state snapshots to inform policymakers, engage academic partners, strengthen grant proposals, and support other workforce and economic development efforts.

Participants will also get a practical overview of what participation in the 2027 report will involve, including available support for hiring survey outreach and executive interviews, the new participant Resource Guide, key project milestones, and next steps for organizations interested in contributing.

Topics will include:

  • Why the national report matters to the life sciences industry

  • Examples of how organizations have used previous reports and state snapshots

  • Support available for survey completion and executive interviews

  • The 2027 Report Resource Guide and project timeline

  • Key dates and next steps

  • Q&A and discussion

"This is one of the best, most useful workforce reports I’ve seen from any industry association. It provides actionable information that decisionmakers and researchers can use to design a and strengthen workforce development pathways. In emerging industries, it is often difficult to find reliable workforce analyses. Other industries would really benefit from replicating and learning from LSWC's approach."

Rachel Lipson, former Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s CHIPS Program Office, current co-founder and Scholar in Residence at the Project on Workforce, and a Research Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government.
