About the event
Workforce Solutions that Drive Business Success
MedTech companies face common workforce challenges to secure skilled talent, including stiff competition from both inside and outside the industry. Several companies are meeting this challenge through workforce strategies and partnerships aimed at bolstering the MedTech sector’s talent pipeline. A new national life sciences non-profit, the Life Sciences Workforce Collaborative, (LSWC, formerly the Coalition of State Bioscience Institutes, or CSBI) brings industry associations, their members and allied stakeholders from across the country together to devise strategies for meeting the industry’s evolving workforce needs.
In addition to introducing the national LSWC network, an esteemed panel of industry leaders will discuss their workforce strategies: ITEC, a Pennsylvania-registered apprenticeship program comprised of manufacturing companies, government organizations and educational institutions that is attracting the attention of legislators; My Cook Pathway, a multi-part program in Indiana that offers paid work experience, educational assistance, and jobs for non-diplomaed high school students; and the Pathmaker program, a career pathway program in Massachusetts that prepares students for high-demand career opportunities in the life sciences.
