LSWC One Year Anniversary

One year ago, the Life Sciences Workforce Collaborative launched with a clear mission: to strengthen how our nation prepares, connects, and supports the workforce that powers the life sciences. Since then, that mission has moved from concept to execution.

Over the past year, LSWC and its partners have:

• advanced national workforce intelligence;

• supported the development of US Department of Labor-approved Registered Apprenticeship standards;

• highlighted innovative workforce initiatives from across our Collaborator network;

• elevated state and national leaders through conferences and roundtables, and;

• created new opportunities for organizations across the country to learn from and work with one another.

All this has laid a strong foundation for our work ahead: to scale successful initiatives, strengthen alignment across systems, and turn shared insight into durable workforce solutions that meet the pace of scientific and technological change.

In the coming year, we will focus on deepening national workforce intelligence that partners can use to inform local workforce solutions and policies; expanding and strengthening Registered Apprenticeship models that create real, accessible career pathways; and building stronger alignment between industry, education, and workforce systems to support talent development that is coordinated, responsive and relevant.

None of these efforts to date nor the promising work ahead could be achieved without you - our Collaborator network - and our Advisory Board, executive leadership, partners, and the many workforce leaders who have contributed their expertise, time, and belief in the value and vision of LSWC.

The need for a skilled, adaptable, and future-ready life sciences workforce has never been greater. We are proud of what this community has built in just one year, and even more energized by the promise ahead.
